We hope you will join us on April 11th, as “Team Jake’s Pickup” walks to support and raise awareness and funds for the MS Society. One of our beloved family members and a few of our friends fights MS every day and so do many others. This is a great way to show support to those dealing with Multiple Sclerosis. We will meet at the High School around 9am and the walk starts at 10am.
It will be a fun walk around Winslow and many local businesses will be participating in some great discounts to those who walk! Jake’s will be giving 20% off the final bill to those who march for MS!
We have made a goal of raising $1000. If you’d like to help us reach our goal and support a great cause, go to our Facebook page @Jake’s Pickup on Bainbridge Island for the link. Thanks so much!
WALK For MS!
The parking lot is getting re-paved on Tuesday, Aug. 18th. We’ll be back in biz Wednesday, dishin’ out “gastronomical delights”. 🙂 (thank you Tim Kelly from the Kitsap Sun for that clever quote.)
Finally! We’re back in biz after an unexpected closing for equipment repair! Come on in and try it if you haven’t already! We’re serving up “mostly organic comfort food, made from scratch!” We call Saturdays “Cinnamon Roll Saturday” because it’s the only day you can find our infamous “best buns on the beach”! A recipe we searched the globe for (well at least North America). Jake had this Cinnamon Roll at a restaurant in Arkansas when he was a kid attending a “sleep away camp” and never forgot it! When Jake’s opened, he was determined to get that recipe, but discovered the restaurant had closed down. Somehow, some way, Jake’s Mom found it through an ex-employee of the place. Go Mom!
Woo Hoo! The Coolers are fixed! #Hallelujah Let the prepping begin! Jake’s already started prepping and the rest of the Pit Crew will join in Friday (Feb. 6th) for a GRAND RE-OPENING on Saturday. If you’ve been missing your cup of Stumptown Joe, come on in Friday! We’ll be serving it up…as well as guzzling it down! We’ve missed y’all! Come see us!
Back on Monday! Have a great weekend!
We are closed awaiting the repair of our main coolers in the kitchen. So sorry for the inconvenience! Last Monday morning, we discovered our main coolers broke and all food had to be thrown out. We will be starting over, making EVERYTHING from scratch as soon as they are fixed. Hope you will all come in and help us make up for a lost week (or two)! On a positive note, we are taking advantage of this time by upgrading our hood system, which will make it a lot more cozy at Jake’s. (It’s been a little cold in there this winter!)
Keep your fingers crossed that the refrigerator repair man shows up SOON!!!
The food is great. I like that its in the gas station, kind of a hidden treasure.
Seriously love this place! Love everything about it! So cool that it is in a gas station… Burgers are delicious! Tuna melt is to die for!! Desserts are also exceptional. Go today. You won’t regret it.
Great food and a great concept. I own a cafe in Santa Barbara called the shop and we love what they are doing. people don’t understand what goes into doing only hand made food from scratch…these guys are right on the mark. i can’t wait to return for a Frittata Sando for breakfast
This place was a great find. The food is fresh and super tasty. We had the goat cheese pizza and french fries. YUM! Will definitely be back.
